LAHANGA- It is a kind of a dress that is somewhat realed to saree. It has three seprate piecies. When I  was small I used to wear lahanga on marriages. In this you have a top kind of thing with a long skirt in the bottom with a light stole kind of thing for the neck. It is a dress that usually worn in south - western part of India like Gujrat, Ahemdabad and even the middle part of India like Madhya Pradesh.

    FLAVORS OF INDIA

Namaste and Hi guys to the amazing world of languages. Well it's a long time since I wrote a blog. In very blog we learn some Hindi words but in this one I will introduce you to some popular Indian dishes. So today we are going to learn about some Indian dishes. Every country has it's own taste and style of cooking. India is called the king of 'spices'. Indian food is really spicy like the Mexicans. Indian curies are famous all over the world. Another amazing thing is that different regions of India have different cuisines, with each of them having characteristic flavor. I belong to the northern part of India so I will start with a yummy north Indian dish.
First we are going to start with one of the most famous and easy Indian dish, that is the SAMOSA !!!!!!!!

It is a kind of a snack that is common in India. It is really cheap and really tasty !!!!!!!! It is made up of all purpose flour with a spicy potato filling and is generally served with mint and cilantro salsa. You can see a picture of samosas below. Doesn't that look yummy !!!!!!!

Now we move on to the next dish. The next dish is a sweet dish. The name of the dish is JALEBI. It is a famous desert made from curd, gram flour and roundels dipped in sugar syrup. On your right you can see a picture of Jalebi.

Now the next dish is DOSA - IDLY. It is a south Indian dish and is one of my favorite  Indian dish. Both are made from rice flour and white lintens. Dosa are like pancakes served with coconut dip and idlies are steamed dumplings served with samber ( kind of soup ).

Last but certainly not the least is a popular desert from estern part of India called RASGULA. It has cheese ballas dipped in sugar syrup with rose flavor. The balls are so soft that they literally melt in your mouth.

I hope all these yummy dishes have watered your mouth like mine. I had a great time writing this blog. I will see you in my next blog so stay tuned !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
