SAREE- It is a kind of dress which is really diffult to carry but looks very beautiful when worn. The picture on the right side shows an bollywood actress (katrina Kaif) in a saree. She is my one of the favorite actress. She looks really pretty in a saree. Saree is usually worn by the bride and on special ocassions like someone's marriage or something like that. Sarees are of many types- like silk, cotton, banarasi ( kind of a fabric and design), rajastani (from the north-west part of India) and many more. They are all just different kinds of prints and designs.

LAHANGA- It is a kind of a dress that is somewhat realed to saree. It has three seprate piecies. When I was small I used to wear lahanga on marriages. In this you have a top kind of thing with a long skirt in the bottom with a light stole kind of thing for the neck. It is a dress that usually worn in south - western part of India like Gujrat, Ahemdabad and even the middle part of India like Madhya Pradesh.

KURTA PAJAMA- It is a dress that is commonly worn by Indian women as daily wear. It is a long top with a pajama kind of thing for the bottom and a light stole for the neck.

DOHTI KURTA & LUNGI - It is a dress worn by the men of India. It is the most common traditional dress for mens. It is a kind of dress men usually wear on marriages or special occassions. The picture on the left is of two men wearing a DHOTI ( the bottom part) KURTA ( the top part). The difference between Dhoti and Kurta is that Lungi is worn and called in the sourthen part of India.
KESHAV - It is a dress worn by women living in the western part of India. The bottom is kind of same as the lungi (dress worn by women _ above). It is dress that mostly worn by women living in the western part of India like Maharashtra(I am from Maharashtra, and I once worn this dress for fancy dress competition although I came 2nd in the competition).
