Visit to India

Namaste and Hi guys to the amazing world of languages! It's been a long time since I wrote a blog because I went to India in my Christmas holidays. The holidays were for only for three weeks and it takes at least 24 hours to reach India. So I feel that I just touched my house and came back. For the 1st week I went to live in Delhi (northern part of India) with my maternal grandparents. I didn't go out for some time because I just wanted to spend some time with my grandparents as meet them after a long time. After that for the next week I went to Dehradun (7 hours from Delhi by train) to live with my paternal grandparents. I really missed my grandparents and I was happy to see them after a long time. I really enjoyed there and I looked at my old stuff which I left in there before leaving India. So I felt really good after seeing my old things and I left my cycle there as it was not possible to bring it from India to Venezuela so cycled every day in the afternoon. My dad lived there before his marriage and my mom's uncle lived there so she used to visit Dehradun in her vacations. And even my mom and dad got married in Dehradun. So they were all excited to share there old memories with me and my brother. We went to see my father's old school and my mother's grandparent's house. We went to market a lot and really good Indian stuff like we bought some CD's with Hindi songs in it. We bought that for my driver as he likes to listen Indian songs although he doesn't understand that. We ate lots of Indian food as there is not even a single Indian joint in Caracas. There was a big mela (fair) going on near my house and we all went there. There was every Indian thing you can think of expect all the ration items like wheat, rice etc. But there was a big stall of Indian spicy things like chat, bhelpuri, panipuri (they a type of Indian food that is really spicy). I ate a lot of that because I was missing all these here in Caracas. There was also a stall of Rajashtani food (north- west part of India) from which my father ate. Then there was stall of cosmetics, clothes, shoes, accessories. I bought a lot of accessories from there. There were also stalls of antique things like paintings and statues of God and some tradition things made out of wood. well there also some rides over there but as I am too big for these rides but still I wanted to although. The next day we went to Mussoorie. Its a place near Dehradun. We went to a temple in Mussoorie. The picture below is of my and my family in a famous temple of Missouri. In there you get a tasty prashad (food of God). It is really tasty and I really liked it.

My mother's uncle lived there so he called all of us for Dinner. I enjoyed very much over there. My mother's aunt made really delicious dinner and she made rasgulla (Indian sweet - as discussed in the blog on food) which I ate after a really long time as so you it is difficult to get milk over here and rasgulla is made out of milk. I even celebrated my new year in Dehradun. I really liked Dehradun and then the next day I went back to New Delhi by train. We started at 5:30 in the morning and reached at 11 in the morning. I was really tired that day so I just went to my grandparents house, talked to them and watched T.V. a lot. The next day I woke up fresh and got ready for shopping! :)

I went to this mall called ' The Great India Place' in Noida, Delhi.. It is the biggest mall in New Delhi. I have been there many times and i really like all the shops over there. You can like find any store or any company over there like 'Mango' etc. On the top floor there is a food court over there. I always eat there whenever I go to the mall. I shopped a lot in India as the stuff you get in Venezuela is not up to the mark.

Over all I really enjoyed my trip to India even though it was really less time over there. In this trip I went to Dehradun (North India) after a very long time as I last went there when I was 5 year old. I got to see my old house there and the Mossuri Temple. I was glad to see both my grandparents and they were very happy to see me.
