Each night the girls wear traditional Indian dress (langha choli) and dandhiya (traditional Indian dance done with small sticks). This is the picture of Goddess Durga- Click to view full size image

Diwali - Dwali is the biggest festival of Hindu. It is also called the festival of lights. All the Hindus decorate their houses with diyas ans candles and prepare rangoli. As it is believed that the goddess of wealth and good luck comes home that day. Every one wears new clothes, sweets are prepared and firecrackers and burnt. It is really great fun and with Diwali around the corner I am very excited and looking forward to celebrating my first Diwali in Caracas.
